Stephanie Cotter 1st Place Women's 6K - NCAA D2 Cross Country Championships 2022

Stephanie Cotter, a junior at Adams State, won her second women's individual title and contributed to a third consecutive team crown at the NCAA Division 2 Cross Country Championships at Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place, Wash. Cotter, who also won the 2019 individual championship at Haggin Oaks Golf Course in Sacramento, covered the 6-kilometer layout in 19:45.2 to lead five All-Americans for the Grizzlies, who prevailed by a 75-126 margin against Grand Valley State. Cotter has seven career national championships, including six individual victories and contributing to the 2019 indoor distance medley relay crown. Adams State also became the winningest cross country program in NCAA history by capturing its 20th Division 2 women's title, surpassing the 19 Division 3 men's championships won by North Central from Illinois (1975-2018).
