Gracie Hyde, a graduate student-athlete at Adams State, placed second in the fastest section of the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase in an NCAA Division 2 record 9:28.17 at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University's Cougar Stadium in Azusa, Calif. Hyde not only eclipsed the Division 2 seasonal mark of 9:40.68 set at the 2021 Oregon Twilight meet by former Adams State standout and Irish competitor Eilish Flanagan, but she also smashed the Division 2 all-dates record as well, taking down Flanagan's 9:34.86 performance from the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
