Romain Legendre, a junior at Adams State representing France, took third in the fastest section of the men's invitational 5,000 meters in a lifetime-best 13:16.53 to set the NCAA Division 2 outdoor all-time mark at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University's Cougar Stadium in Azusa, Calif. Legendre eclipsed the 2002 standard of 13:22.64 established by Western Colorado's Michael Aish. He now boasts the Division 2 indoor and outdoor records, also running 13:24.09 at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston in December.
